Semolina Halwa


Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup semolina
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup ghee
1 cup milk
1/4 tbsp saffron
3-4 cardamom pods
almond, chopped (for garnish)

How to Prepare:
In a thick bottomed pan add ghee, semolina and fry for 2-3 minutes, now add milk, saffron and cardamom pods to semolina, let it cook on a medium heat without the lid for about 30 to 40 minutes or untill most of the milk is absorbed. Keep stirring in between.
Add sugar and keep stirring till the mixture becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan. Now the halwa is ready to serve. Transfer halwa to serving bowl and garnish with chopped almonds.
