Beetroot Halwa


Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup grated beetroot
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup ghee
1 cup milk
3-4 cardamom pods
almond flakes for garnish

How to Prepare:
In a thick bottomed pan add ghee, fry grated beetroot, now add milk and cardamom pods to the grated beetroot, let it cook on a medium heat without the lid for about 30 to 40 minutes or untill most of the milk is absorbed. Keep stirring in between.
Add sugar and keep stirring till the mixture becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan. Now the halwa is ready to serve. Transfer halwa to serving bowl and garnish with almond flakes.
