Bread Halwa


Recipe Ingredients:
8 slices bread
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup ghee
5 cardamom pods
5 cashew nuts
5 almonds
5 raisins
5 pistachios

How to Prepare:
Heat ghee in a pan and fry bread pieces till golden brown.  now add milk and cardamom pods to the fried bread, let it cook on a medium heat without the lid for about 30 to 40 minutes or untill most of the milk is absorbed. Keep stirring in between.
Add sugar, cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios and raisins. Keep stirring till the mixture becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan. Now the halwa is ready to serve. Transfer halwa to serving bowl and garnish with dry nuts.
